Recreating 83rd Infantry Film Footage (Pip Park 2011)

First film is a .30 cal base of Fire and assault on German held Ridge. Pippingford Park April 2011.First movie is abit grainy unfortunately as I had just taking a hit, and the camera was on the wrong setting!

Second movie is of squads of 83rd Infantry moving up for counter attack on German positions

It has to be said that the attack on the bridge was awesome .....and third squad led the way!!!

Cracking videos Paul, and a cracking weekend. That really is quite incredible to watch!

The first of the four I am uploading is probably the best,even though quality is not as good, but does capture the chaos of the moment- even though we were organised. War is hell.....makes you think!

Having," taken the high ground" squads from C Co, 1st Batt 329th Inf Regt, 83rd Infantry Division, take 5 minutes rest, whilst command send mixed messages -"send re-enforcements we are going to advance...pass it on it on" says one GI....unfortunately by the time its passed down the line, "send three and four pence we are going to a dance" is the final message, and all three squads march off in blissful ignorance and to certain death..!

I think I like this one the best.... Enemy contact, totally unexpected, commands being shouted, chaos ensues!!!

Been Chatting with Dale Davidson.
Varsity wont work to well with those guys wanting in.
So.Ill hire out all of Pip Pk which will give us two car parks, 1 axis 1 allied.either side of Pip.
It transpires that 2nd Rangers AND RED1 operating in mutual support of each other in Germany April into may '45 which would mean 83rd rebadging as RED1 which together with LHA RED1 could number 50 Infantry all badged the same?..
Also on a bonus is that they worked with 102nd Cavalry. Dale mentioned that they might be able to bring along Hellcat and other vehicles.
I will be looking to have the field kitchen/Field Hospital with Ambulances,MPs to check on guys IDs...

I have asked about and April next year seems to be again the only month people can do. The dates correspond well to the 1945 dates of Rangers and RED1 .
