A find
Hi all.
I have come by these rations from a source. I know they are US and since the fruitcake tin is dated 1968 I'm thinking that they may be C-rats ? I'm going to be selling them on to fund WW2 projects. I've not posted pics. but I also got an enlisted mans Class A jacket with buttons, two pairs of dress pants two garrison caps and a black tie dated 1958 in pretty much MMAcM condition. They are the early Vietnam era dress uniform. Any help or thoughts welcomed.

Let me know the price and I'll buy a box of rations (what a surprise). They are what we used to eat in the tacticals in the early 80's, probably not a good idea, but we did. Vietnam issue as far as I can remember.

Not to mention what they do to your insides! That having been said, I wouldn't have thought ol' "Iron Gut" Costin would be too severely debilitated by them...
Cheers,
Ben.

Are they C-rats then? Do you think they are worth anything on EBAD?

Murph- Yes they are. and Yes they are! Especially because they are in good condition.
Actually my iron guts did suffer slightly, I took a monday off sick after a tactical in Wales, due to "stomach-ache" amd my Mum went ballistic!! Hey- I was only 17 at the time I thought taking time off sick was a right!!!!!!
Tony, I have just shipped out one of my "original recipe" D rations complete with dried skin, to a serving soldier in Afghanistan, plus a whole box and six bars to some WW2 forum members!!!!
