A short story about GIs garrisoned in Britain - made in 1942. Really captures the mood of the period.
All genuine gear, personnel and locations; lots of backround details to watch out for (...your chairs are in the Dentist scene Daz!) and maybe some ideas for inclusion at Holme - and/or future displays?

Thanks for sharing. I'll have to check it out when I'm back in the UK though as the Internet isn't brilliant where I am.

Just watched this, thanks for sharing Andy. In line with the movie, here are a bunch of excellent reference photos on the arrival of US troops to Northern Ireland.

I found this link and thought it may be of interest. Someone has taken the trouble to compile a list of all the US units that were stationed in Northern Ireland anytime between 1942 and 1945.
http://www.history.army.mil/reference/ireland/niob.htm
The top level units are familiar of course, but as you scroll down it does illustrate what a complex set-up the whole military effort was.

Andy that's a nice link right there. A good find and nice site to help us out with, in case we decide to portray them one event.
