Looks like Belly is selling off loads of kit and seeing as he used to do Airborne there may be a few item for "Tex" to blag....Rizla can you let him know.

I bought the arm band. Need to check out the 'baton' situation or did field MP's bother, just reach for your .45 instead!

At Skeggy we won't be in the field as such, so Batons are more than likely to be carried. I understand they were just looped over webbing?

As far as I know Paul, you're quite correct; they were looped over webbing. I know that there was a leather hanger for wear with the remainder of the leather MP equipment, but as far as I know this wasn't introduced until 1947. It's not my area of expertise though!

Sam, this is the chute or at least the reserve. He said it was the one I wore at the tacical.

Boy done good!!! You are welcome to cut a small edge section of my cargo chute that I've lent Rizla to cover over the innards of the casing. I'm planning to do the same with mine....

Thanks Paul I will do that. I will wait to when we do the event in June to cut the chute.
I thought it seemed simular to yours Les, but the lighting on the pics seems dark so I won't really know untill I get it!

That's a nice looking 'chute. When you get it, it might be worthwhile replacing the bungees on the Reserve Pack (they look a little course in the photographs) - I have some originals here if you need them!

Oh yes Ben I will replce them if you say so as I'm sure you know more than me so that would be good if you could bring the bungees with you to East Kirkby and I will swap them over! How much do you want for them?
Are you bringing a chute to East Kirkby? I wanted to actually have a chat with you aboute T-5's, how you know a good one and if parts are post war on them.

OK Sam, no worries - let me see if I can find out how much the bungees cost me first, and then I'll let you know how much I want for them. I shall be taking my 'chute along to East Kirkby if I can get it packed in time, and get the Static Line Hook replaced!
No problem on having a chat about telling post-war components on T-5s!

Going to look good if your bringing yours as well. We will definatly have 3 and if Les comes then that's 4 T-5's. Should be able to get some good pics!!

I'll stick in my BoB Reserve too and bring that along so we will have a good selection. I'll bring my original Reserve and some of the Aerial Delivery Bags and perhaps we could put together a kit load-out similar to the one show in the picture I posted in the Reference Thread, but maybe using a .30 Cal rig?

Now that would be ace! Are you on about the Spanhoe pic? There's some others in the de Trez book as I'm sure you know of the 82nd and shows some good pics of load outs on the ground.
Have you got a scanner Ben? Would be good to post them up?

Yes Sam, the Spanhoe one! I do indeed have a scanner, and will post up some more kit layouts, I think it would be just fantastic do that layout. We're taking the Pyramidal along so it'd be great to get some shots of that.

I think on those pics as well they have their T-5's laid up in a line along side the drop containers.
Well if we base the impression on that series of pictures that's a good start. Do you know what Garry intends to do impression wise at East Kirkby? 505th??

I'll try and put together some photographs of kit bundles and equipment prior to enplaning too, then!
As far as I know Sam, they're planning on doing 508th PIR. To be honest the only difference there'll be is with the vehicle markings.
