I'm watching and I'm tempted, if I can get it for £300 or less I would say yes! Do you think my gas burner could be put underneath instead of the petrol burner?

I think that will sell for much less than £300.

And yes I think your gas burner would be fine for that mate, can't be too much differance. Also you could authenticly cook being the best thing.

Sam

Thinking the gas burner might be safer than petrol!

If I can I will be buying this! Everyone has a special interest and I must admit this is a favourite of mine (not withstanding my interest in the laundry detachment!).

Yeah! Tbh I had a bid in for £450... I was away for the weekend so I knew I could not up bid but that kind of money is a little too steep for one man to bear, I bet it's been a group purchase someone like FAAA or TFH?

I've been in contact with the seller, he has another one! I think I might have gone the extra nine yards if I had been home and able to bid but who knows where it would have ended up? I'm definately up for getting hold of an item like this but I think £500 ono is as far as I can justify.

Cheers,
Ben.

He does not want to open the box even, he thinks it would be wrong to defile it... i said why not use it, 'show and tell'.

He got the two from Aussie mate, approx £395 each, so he has made a nice profit, we have had one a few years now, but we just use it as a disply item now.

I'll have a think about it Wullie, does it still work and does it have all the bits or is it more of a display item now?

Yes it works, but we found it a nightmare to use and clean afterwards, all the pots/containers are there, we still use some of the utensils, but now have loads as we have 3 full kitchen sets now (dont ask) so should be able to put it all back together.

I've been re-contacted by the seller of the one on EBAY as he has another one to sell, I will see what he has to say, what sort of dough would you be looking for Wullie?

Ahem, I have an announcement to make... I've just got off the phone to the seller of this item. He is from Oz and ships classic vehicles to and from Oz to the UK. He has one other cooker, still in original packing crates and sent to Oz by the US ARMY as lend lease. I'm happy to say we have reached a deal over the phone and it's now mine Very Happy

He is hopefully going to deliver it to me on Sat. 22nd of August as he is travelling to NEWARK which is nearby to me.

Soooo we should have some vintage cooking going on soon!

Great news indeed Murph, can't wait to see the beauty at a show soon. Does this mean you'll be needing to buy an apron and Chef's hat then? I know where there's an original Cook's Cap if you're interested? Laughing

Well done again!
Ben.

Well, I got it for less than the EBAY sale and hopefully he will be delivering it as well so I am happy enough. The way I look at it is if nothing else we will get the use from it and ultimately it's an investment (I hope!)...

If there is a cooks hat going I will be interested! That being said I won't want to end up like the Burger man at Peak Rail! It won't make it to every event Very Happy
