Sgt. Carl Robert Swaninger Grouping
I would sooooo LOVE to have this particular grouping in my collection. Alas, student finances won't quite stretch to the current bid, let alone what it might fetch:

The roster that I compiled some time ago shows he was indeed a member of the 307th Airborne Medical Company, 82d Airborne Division. I just can't understand why anyone would part with this.
Anyone want to buy a Normandy-jumped T5 rig and first pattern Winter Combat Jacket?
Cheers,
Ben.

wow ben thats a fantastic find, the photo,s themselves are fantastic, have you thought about selling your old man to buy this lot?
i hope the grouping goes to a true collector and it all remains together rather than sold off bits at a time.

Sam, one of my original M42 Coats might be available sooner than I had thought if you're interested?

Agree with you Ben...why would you part with it, unless desperate. Hope it goes to a good home.

Hmm, do you think the seller would trade the grouping for some K Ration crates and a Mk III C-Ration?

That's an amazing grouping, I can't help thinking though that it's a shame no one in his family would want to keep them? Lovely Pics though I can see why as a collector you would want to own it.

So, the final SP was $11,100.00. I wonder if the Vet's family received just a fraction of that? I hope it went to a museum or a genuine collector.
