[REF] Outfit, Cooking Small Detachment

Murph, the post-WW2 US ones are basically identical to the wartime ones, except they have different markings stamped in. The WW2 versions (besides being dated, of course) have the letters "U.S.A." under the cross, while post-WW2 have simply "U.S."

The important thing is it needs to be the screw cap design, i.e. I can screw in the nozzle and get a tight seal. They would be no use if they are the smaller opening clip on lid types if you follow?

I do indeed Murph. Let me see what I can find, otherwise you might have to hang fire until Odyssey if you can make it. You could always try putting a "Want" out on the WW2 Forum, maybe Lloydy can help out?

Good thinking, it's done. I have managed to find one in the States but it's a bit pricey at over 100 dollars including shipping (or is it?). I'll hold off buying it until I get some feedback off the forums.

$100?! That is a little expensive. I believe our own Johnny Costino picked one up at Rougham for £25. I've seen them go from £20 up to about £50.

Well, so long as we have got one we can use the cooker, we can pick one up then on our travels.

Just PM'd you via WW2 forum!! I've got a nice original paint post war one you can borrow until such times as you see a good wartime one or later. I've got three so can spare one!!!

AABC at A2, ABBD overall, only needed BBB for uni, so am sorted....well, as soon as the exam board and school bother to send the rest of my results to uni anyhow!
