24/25th April 2010, Lincolnsfield Centre , Bushey.

GI44-45 attended the Lincolnsfield Childrens’ centre, Bushey during the last weekend.

It was clearly evident that this event is becoming very popular due to the presence of a number of living history groups, Allied and Axis alike. It seemed to be a considerable increase on the numbers from last year. I would recommend this event to you all, it is convenient located close to the M25 and M1 and has a variety of areas where displays can be set up. And yours “hosts” - The FSSF are a nice bunch of guys, even if Paul Dray is a bit slack in making the coffees for his guests!!!

We were blessed with some decent weather and good company, and its hoped that we can work alongside one of the groups; The Guards at Peak Rail later this year, East meeting West!

Yup, they are going for sure, one of my favourite groups around.

yup, the ruskies were very hospitable hosts, fed and watered tex costino and myself. had a very good set up with their working encampment.loved the dog with the tank mine harsess. they have been at peak the last couple of times we have been there and fed us last year whilst sampling fruit soaked in vodka.this year they are building a sauna, yes, a working sauna.built using tents and very hot rocks, it was the way soviet soldiers washed in the field, and the group have invited anyone to join them at peak this year, soooooooo bring a towel.

This does sound interesting! Gary and Ramsay from SO44 were putting hot coals form our brazier into their mess tins to warm their sleeping bags over last weekend, so long as you remember which pot is for PE-PE and which pot heats the bed you are on to a winner.
